horse slaughter

i made this video for 2 reasons.... and both of them are for my rescued horses Vegas and riot... Vegas is a 20 year old gelding i saved from starvation.. he weighed 500lbs when i found him. he now weighs 1200lbs. riot was only 6months old when i rescued him out of meat pin. he is now 2yrs. old. the first thing i want this video to do is raise awareness of what is happening to these animals. this can be stopped, and it must be. the second is to hopefully start a change in how horses are treated. i plan to stop this. my goal is to banned horse slaughter and any shipping of horses meat to foreign countries. you might say how do you plan to do that? well my answer will be take it one step at a time and make each step a right one. this is my first step.... so please watch and comment. this just isn't some video i put on you tube.. these are actual lives that have been taken that could of got a fresh start on life with your help and help from others.

@GavinJLang Some horses enjoy doing the event my horses are barrel horses and i dont push them to do anything they mostly do it themselves.

if i could x i would save them all but i saddley cant i would love to open a shelter for them i would just take them no matter what they looked like xx they have so much talent and they cant teach use use how to trust and love .... my mum saved a horse from slaughter wich it only had about a day leaft or just till 10 at night xx :) how could you do that

The thing that I think is funny about all these videos is that they show people riding the horses and making them do things like the horse actually likes it..... I could really care less about them getting slaughtered but if you are going to complain about it then how about you stop riding them as well..... lol

Most disturbing are the images of abuse and neglect. I would rather be sent to slaughter myself then left to starve, suffer and die. More needs to be done to protect horses who have provided so much for the people who own them. The race horse industry needs to make regulations for the care of it's horses after their racing careers are done. Maybe a percentage of the horses winning should be set aside!
