  • We rang here in September last year and I thought they were a superb six, I don't think the camera has quite done them justice here!

  • They are the best tuned six in Buckinghamshire in my opinion, but that may be a little biased as this is my home tower!

The video wasn't great in quality and the ringing wasn't great.... but it was some of the best plain hunt of the night.... a lot of the ringers there found it hard to ring on the bells (1)Because of the Long Draft (2)There is some maintenance work needing to be done to the bells (which we will be done by Whites of Appleton in Jan/ Feb time next year)

  • Fantastic bells!

  • Great. I am just about to start Plain Hunting myself - a big step for a beginner. This shows what the end result should be!

  • no they are 13-2-27! - check dove!

they are loud outside, like most towers that don't have louvre sound proofing

  • Btw, i thought the tenor was 16cwt.

Are they loud from outside m8?

  • Yes I remember those who didn't pull nice and straight having some difficulty - it caused a headache for me as I was in charge of the ringing. Excellent bells though - hope they're not going to be retuned!

There were some nice bells round there as I recall, Aylesbury, Nether Winchendon, , Quainton, Cuddington, Long Crendon. I liked Wing too even though the 4th is out of tune. We also went to Waddesdon (ouch!).

Sometimes you just have to admit your own tower is the best :)
