Because the whole point of this project was to make videos for each other and so we talk directly to them. If you're so offended, then don't watch.
And people say "hey guys" all of the time, which refers to both genders, so if you really want to talk about sexism, go bother those people.

In fourth grade I said to myself if I had a daughter I would name her Liane. With the same spelling. Someone told me it wasn't a name, but it is!
