These are some of the Bidayuh blades we saw used when we visited Semban (Sarawak) with Danny Voon (local Kuching guide). Their Parang, kitchen & bamboo knife are unique and amazingly practical. We apologize for the poor sound recording.

  • They don't use the metal knife to cut the tobacco leaves because organic knife would've have maintain the flavor of the tobacco. Furthermore the sap juice from the tobacco leave will stick on a steel knife. It's good to see one of my related ancestors doing this again. Thanks for the post.
