best thing to do is....(in my opinion. i'm doing it)

tab what others play, see the rhythm and notes and chords used yourself. this includes drums and bass. they play an important role.

gather some muse, inspiration, and a lot of determination

and try writing a drum beat, or using on you tabbed, then add guitar rhythm power chords, and use the pentatonic scale to write a solo that utilizes the techniques you observed others use.

there's no shortcuts here. it's a lot of hard work.
