FSB director Nikolai Patrushev did an interview in 2007. When asked about most active foreign intelligence in Russia, it was astonishing to hear him point out MI6 first, and the bunch of other NATO countries & CIA only later. According to him, MI6 doesn't only try gathering intelligence, but also influencing political situation in Russia. The end goal is to achieve its dismemberment into small states.
