    If you wish to learn more, I would recommend a book called Mande Music by Eric Charry.

  • They are donso (or dozo) hunters from west Africa. From this key words, you will find everything... :-)

  • I am still a bit uncertain what I am watching here, but I have been able to determine that it is a ritual connected to hunting. Whether a benediction on the hunters, or praising those elders among them who have distinguished themselves, or a lecture on their traditions is a bit less clear.

    I do notice that most of the men here are very old. Perhaps they represent a disappearing way of life?

    I do not even know where to start my research.
