This video shows the journey that a few friends and I took to travel to the Equality Across America march in Washington, D.C. I am originally from that area but traveled up from my college in Savannah, GA.
The nine hour drive was well worth the event. Nearly 300,000 people attended from all over America to show that they care about equality amongst ALL of the United States' citizens.
This one march will not end all of the violent acts and hateful forms of prejudice that is put upon the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered) community.
We must come together in all 50 states and act locally and show that we are here and we won't stand down.
