  • Yea man! I can see why you dig this one. This is classic, Chicago or Texas Blues? I seem to think it's got a Texas sound to it. Love it just the same, this is what I can understand the best! Blues.

    Great post Al!

  • KING OF THE BLUES HARP ....NEV'R GOT HIS DUE RECOGNITION.......BEST BLUES HARP MAN THIS SIDE OF LUTHER GEORGIA BOY JOHNSON.........

  • this is a nice version, Ace of Harps is a cool album, I'm currently trying to get my lips around 'yesterdays' 3rd position on a CHromatic, with tongue blocking! Anyone who is doing the same?

  • Can someone please post songs from the "Sanctuary" album??!!!..Please!!!...Preferably "The Neighborhood", or the "Snake Song", or anything, for that matter!!...Those two are incredible!!

  • HOT DAM! THAT MAN CAN JAM!

  • found a blues channel on my tv a month ago and absolutely can't get enough. Charlie is my favorite. I like most music genres but BLUES is the BEST!!!

  • I once heard a story back 'round '75, i was 'bout 21, that charlie was one of but afew to be allowed into the predomantly "black" clubs in Chicago? 'n' that's why I day Chicago blues all da way all day long

  • Yeeeeeesssss! Thank you!

  • @Escagedo3rd Well the guitar sounds just like Larry Davis, Texas. But Charlie was musically nurtured in the town of Chicago, after growin up in Memphis, and born in Mississippi. So I imagine it brins together "quite a few" elements?

  • great stuff. grew up listening to Charlie and Paul Butterfield, Mayall, etc.

  • deffinetly Robben Ford
