I was listening to the CD yesterday. Whoever does not like Medtner does not like great music for piano. Sure, his orchestral pieces take a little effort for one to get acclimatized to his soundscape, but his music for solo piano & two pianos is immediately catchy and accessible

Wtf was Hamelin talking about Medtner not being Melodic. This tune and many others from him are about as catchy as they get, Rachmaninoff would have been proud of himself to have composed this

@nikolaimedtner Medtner once again reaches the pinnacle of musicality. The organ grinder, Campanella, The magic violin, Sonata Tragica and now this awesome piece for 2 pianos! Great stuff!

Medtner is one of the greatest of composers! AND I think is one of the best works written for 2-piano's. I can't see this piece being played any better than these two. Absolutely fantastic!

Nina, this time it's not me playing, it's a piece for 2 pianos and the pianists are named in the info ;)
nevertheless i am honored you find me able to play this with two hands :D
