Baby Hummingbirds

On February 28th, 2006 I took some pictures on my friends patio of a hummingbird nest. What was unique, the nest was sitting high up on a golfer figurine wind chime. I zoomed in on my camera and took a picture of the little nest with a tiny egg in it.

34 days later my friend called me and said she saw baby hummingbirds. So yesterday I took my mini camcorder and was able to film the little birds. Not only was I able to film the baby hummingbirds, I also got the mother feeding her babies. I was standing on an 18 inch wall hiding behind a bush and zoomed in when I got that shot. I was so thrilled to capture that moment!

this is lovely and amazing. at first, i was like "WHY DOES SOMEONE THINK ITS FUNNY TO STAND RIGHT ABOVE SOME HUMMINGBIRDS WITH A GOLF CLUB?!?!". then i realized that was a figurine. lol. =]

I have been sitting here for hours watching h'bird videos.  So far, the mothers always feed one, then the other. I have not yet seen a baby get feed twice before the other one feeds! Great video!
