When I put some RAM into my computer, do I need to do something in the windows, like accept that RAM insert or install it, that lets my computer begin to use it? And one more question. Is there any possibility that when I will insert 2GB of RAM my motherboard would not be able to work with it, there would be too many of RAM for my old motherboard and there wouldnt be any result of adding RAM. Thank You.

Right i know this is a bit off topic. but still, i have a eMachines PC (E2464 i THINK!, in my friends house atm) i know its not the best but so what :P. i need to buy more ram but DELL and eMachines need their own 'specific' ram i was searching on various websites, like newegg, crucial and kingston and i cant find the ram for my computer model? i think it may mean that i can use any ram? but if anyone else has this problem, or a solution plz message me :D!
