How to draw a Haunted House

Draw a spooky house with award-winning illustrator - Shoo Rayner. Based on Norman Bates's house in Alfred Hitchcock's classic Horror Movie, Psycho, this is a basic plan for drawing a scary house for halloween posters or any other scary project you might have in mind!

I use a Rotring Tikky Graphic 0.3 pen and a 7b Faber Catell 9000 pencil. The paper is fairly cheap drawing cartridge or bristol paper.

If there is shadowing on the ground under the left and right side of the house why dont the steps have any shadowing as you gave shadow to all the porch too so that indicates there is no light from the porch so wheres the shadow scratching head, but great drwaing

@peterdoa1 Kinda but not - all scary houses seem to be the same in our imaginations. I think the Adam's family is a bit bigger - this is based on Psycho!

Amazing drawing! Subscribed. I need to get back into drawing. I used to be able to draw when i was a kid. And being a Graphic designer now, i never illustrate on paper and think it's a skill i need to re add to my skill set.
