Maiden flight of Bob Bennett's RC F15 ACTIVE jet. Powered by a JetCat P160, the F15 ACTIVE was a NASA experimental aircraft built to test and develop STOL and vectored thrust. Creating this model was a major achievement, and whilst this flight did not end well, subsequent efforts developed through the use of a depron foam model to prove the aerodynamics have since been successfully completed, the plane repaired, and the next flight will be done soon!

  • Yes, quite repairable. Bob built a depron foam model to test the aerodynamics, and has now rebuilt the plane itself ready to fly again shortly. The flight was at Sale in Victoria, Australia.
