Yes she was! One of the most intelligent horror films ever made. A true classic! I noticed that here in America it was released as "Curse of the Demon" and over in the UK its title was "Night of the Demon". And the British version as a few short scenes that were not included in the American release. One of my FAVE films !!!

I totally agree! I've been hoping for so very long to see a photo or footage of how she's looking these days. She's still as lovely as ever! The host of Turner Classic Movies, Robert Osborne, said last year that he had had tea in England with Ms Cummins the year before & she was as sweet as can be and still looking beautiful. My jove, was he right !!! :-)

I certainly second that emotion! Isn't it smashing that she's still alive & well! That makes my heart sing! :-)

I loved reading your comments! I have adored this gifted actress & lovely lady since seeing "Curse of the Demon" and "Gun Crazy" on local TV as a teen in the 70's! She indeed does look WONDERFUL for her age & seems incredibly sweet & friendly! I wish I could have been there to meet her in person!

Heavens to Joseph H Lewis! How I wish I could have attended this show & met this dear lady! How wonderful to see footage of the lovely & talented Peggy Cummins! She was amazing in TWO of my all time fave films: the horror classic "Curse of the Demon" (known as "Night of the Demon" in the UK) and the film noir classic "Gun Crazy". She even sent me a very nice card with her autograph about five years ago. A beautiful lady...inside and out. And a CLASS act all the way! Thanks for posting!

Just finished watching "Gun crazy"...Well, I got so aroused by her...Damn, had to remind me continuously that she's my grandma's eldest sister's age!!!Misses me why she didn't do much movies...Oh yeah, with suitors like Howard Hughes and Kennedy, movies be damned!

I've been a fan of Peggy's films for many years, this is the first time I've seen recent footage of her, and I must say she's still a lovely lady.
She was great in Night of the Demon (1957) q:)>

She was mesmerizing in GUN CRAZY back in '49. Great to see her around still and looking well.

@socco69 It's hard to believe she is 85, she still looks well.
