This commercial is currently being aired on Japanese TV, mimicking the success that Senator Barrack Obama has found on the campaign trail with blatantly racist imagery. When will the Japanese people begin to confront the problems of racism in their midst?

The monkey is the company's mascot, and Japan is more or less oblivious to the stereotypes for black people that originated in the USA. They're not an ethnically diverse country, nor do they even speak the same language as us. Their culture is completely different. Racism exists in Japan, as it exists in all countries, but you have to understand that they don't have the same exact stereotypes because they are culturally different. This commercial is not an example of Japanese racism.
