  • Oh, nice to see R75 works great. Of course, I'm a owner of this RX and I can operate this one in the total dark.

  • @pesnyaozemle great to know you have one right there in Japan Taka-it just further solidfies the r75's good name!

  • Nice MW DXing video... I remember having received KSL 1160 myself during a holiday trip to the Western US (including California) in August 1999.

  • @senderjaeger thanks Matthias-they do have a huge signal that rivals many stations within my own state-I made this video mainly for a guy in a forum who is "on the fence" about the r75 and its MW ability and was under the impression the r75 was very limited in MW.

  • @globalswgetter I hope you managed to convince him that the R75 is a great receiver. If I hadn't got so many radios I'd certainly consider the Icom...

  • @senderjaeger he says he has decided to get an r75 now so that is good-such a great rig and so many happy owners-he cannot go wrong with this one!

  • Thanks r75 brothers Mark and Sal! Mark those antennas sound very interesting I will google them or check here for some-I do have my eye on a Welbrook loop as some directional action is welcome. Sal in my opinion you are going to really enjoy that radio on lowbands DX. LW is fun too-I sometimes chase beacons down there and have scored some in Canada at over 1000 miles.

  • nice catches...im starting to really like my R-75..I had a Drake R8B which was a nice reciever but the Icom is hotter....the Kenwood R-5000 was hot but to much front end overlaod....I havent done any DX AM with it yet...but there is always tonight!

  • The R75 is performs well on MW from my own observations when I owned one I was able to get many Trans Atlantic stations here in Scotland...one useful function was the preamp especially when using SSB...you should try a flag or pennant antenna on your roof with your other antennas and point it west for some Trans Pacific Dxing :) cheers and beers Mark
