  • the playing is beautiful, but that conductor's gotta lay off a little bit jazz isn't all about that strictness, you never see people conducting real jazz bands at anything they stand off to the side and let the artists do their own thing. still fluid playing though i'm impressed

  • Believe me, I know. Jazz happens on its own most of the time, but as good as those kids sounded, they needed me up there!

  • You can check out the 1944 Glenn Miller recording by doing a Youtube search for V DISC 201.

"Moon Dreams" was composed by Glenn Miller pianist Chummy MacGregor in 1942 with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. Glenn Miller recorded the song in 1944 and released it as V Disc 201A.

  • Best version of this song ive heard thats not from yhe actuall Miles album

  • @JDA315 It's sort of a part of high school jazz band. Sometimes, especially on lyrical pieces like this, the younger groups can't hold it together on their own. Back in my high school especially my senior year, our new drummer wasn't confident enough to take the reins completely, so our director had to conduct.

  • woooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

    back to 1949 bluemoon!!!

    miracle!!

  • a little mechanical but overall it sounds just like the record
