Cumberland Gap

A little bluegrass on the new (old) fiddle. Cumberland Gap. Believe this was a Flatt and Scruggs tune. Played with simple up and down bow strokes. And super fast of course....Thanks for watching...Gary

Thanks for stopping by Alex. I think I'm gonna have the new fiddle set up by somebody with a little more experience. It doesn't sound too bad though. Andy loves it, since he's been playing on it. It blows his 3/4 student violin away...lol

Are you trying to say that this fiddle is a re-issue of an older model?

It's a German copy of a Stradivarius, made somewhere between 1850 and 1900. So , it's still pretty old.

Gary that is different version of the Cumberland Gap but masterfully done. Of course there are number of old time versions out there -- as it was a very popular song. Whose version is that? 15 stars! Now that fiddles sounds great but I think the secret is the fiddler (<:
