Hercules geometric boxes glitches in God of War 3. This vid will mainly delve in systematically showing what happens when you press each of the "R1" prompts in those multicolored geometric shapes, the ones that are on the Hercules battle arena. I'll concentrate on glitches in a different video.
Firstly (for those that don't know), if Kratos leaves this battle arena (mainly towards the camera) and then (I think) makes the camera angle change, and then returns to the arena (it may also be that leaving the arena a certain distance causes this?)...you get these strange multicoloured geometric shapes that appear on the ground. Each one has a functional "R1" prompt.
What each "R1" prompt does:
1. Black one on the far left: Resets the entire fight from scratch.
2. Orange one on the left: Resets the "1st phase of Hercules".
3. Green one in the middle: Resets "Hercules without a helmet" phase.
4. Purple one on the right: Resets "Hercules without helmet or gauntlets" phase.
5. Black one on the far right: Starts the final Hercules cutscene.
6. Orange one at the entrance: Opens a hole in the floor collision, but nothing seems to load under there until you kill Hercules.
7. Orange at the back: This one has no prompt (at this date).
Points of Interest in the video:
8. Near the start of the vid I show a (previously known) skip of the spiralling staircase just before the Hercules battle arena.
9. You can skip the Hercules battle trigger, and then freely explore the arena before the battle has even started.
10. There is an area of the arena that is "hittable" with Nemesis Rage, and "hits" are registered on the hit counter when you hit it. I think it might be that lone orange geometric near the entrance...not sure what the deal is there.
11.When you do "unending sorrow" at the top of the Jest Jump...the claws stretch really far down, nearly all the way down to the ground. You actually don't need to go up so high to do the glitch in the vid. A "Jest Jump" will do.
12. The glitch at the very start of the vid was done by "R1'ing" the orange box near the entrance, and then I normally got Hercules to the point where I get the Cestus from him. At the end of that cutscene, Hercules and Kratos drop down like lead! And strangely, Hercules gets a new set of Cestus as he falls.
13. In this vid, I got Hercules to his final stage normally (the one where he chases you for the final time), I then "R1'ed" the orange one that makes a hole in the floor, and lured him to drop in. I got him to grab me as we both fell But Kratos just breaks out.
I also did this just in case at this later stage the sewers were loaded. I would have liked to see what would happen if Hercules got dropped into the water below. But, nothing was loaded even at this late stage. (But you see him doing his "chasing after Kratos" animation while under the arena).
14. If you keep the geometric shapes all the way until the end of the fight (when Hercules lifts up the arena), the shapes are still there and "in place" all the way through the cutscene. They reveal themselves to be thicker than once thought, I found it interesting to see them here in this cutscene.
15. The shapes still have their prompts as Hercules lifts the arena, but I haven't been able to "R1" them at that point. That would have been really interesting.
16. At the very end of the vid - Dropping Hercules while he has a mini-game circle above his head, haven't managed to reach him while falling to try and "O" kill him.
I've come across some other funny glitches with this, but I wanted this vid to focus mainly on the functions of the geometric shapes for FAQ coverage. More to come...

Great! I think this boxes were made for testing each phases of the fight when this game have been developing.

@romvaleri Hmmm?...hadn't thought of that. That's a pretty good theory, because it's very strange that they would have an "R1" prompt.
