This was the 1st round of 3 with Eugene of the Philly wing chun school. This guy was pretty tough! My leg was thoroughly bruised up after this fight.

  • These guys did well.

There was no Wing Chun displayed nor training in WC to shape their movements and no BaGua or understanding of BaGua art.

I don't know why people say they practice a style that they clearly do not know.

I do know they are courageous guys who gave a lot of heart in the engagement.

  • @heartslord

4:22 This is the pure Cheng style application of the first Palm change....

I also practice traditional boxing and Shuai Jiao. Did you know, Cheng Ting Hua the second student of Dong Hai Chuan and founder of the Cheng Branch of Bagua was a Shuai Jiao wrestler?

Oh, and because someone practices a style doesn't mean they will use it all effectively during a sport or street fight. I "know" bagua and train often, but learning to use it in a fight is very different my friend.

  • where do you see wing tsun in here.. what i see is two guys not too far from mma fighters style

  • @sRm744

Some of these guys cross train a lot, so you could see Muay Thai and wrestling stand out. Honestly, I didn't really see any Wing Chun either. This competition is a mixed style competition, so it makes it interesting to see what people will actually use in the fight.

Of course it doesn't look like Wushu, but I tried to utilize energetic bagua relaxation and stepping, but also used my traditional boxing as well...

  • not bad i like it :D

  • tell that to the masters that bagua is not meant for street. i cant believe you said that. ring or not. they tested this stuff. it has to do with your training not memorized movements. learn to use your tools. and apply. good energy wasted. and keep your guard up.

  • Thank you for your thoughtful reply.

    I didn't make it past 2 minutes.

Having practiced BaGua, Hsing-I, TaiChiChuan for thirty years I have a great appreciation for the arts and applications.

Keep up the good work and thanks again for your thoughtful reply.
