Cavatina in D Major, Joachim Raff

A short performance for the class of Performing Arts Conference in January, 2008. Even though Raff's works has completely forgotten, the Cavatina is one of his few which still frequently performed. Cavatina can be described as a songlike piece for a particular instrument. This piece starts with a lyrical theme on the G string. Later the theme develops until the climatic high A. The recapitulation is restated grandly with the theme in double stops.

Yeah it's nice but you really need a much better violin ;)
