Sound Unbound Vol. 3: Beat Poetry & Jazz casually examines the relationships between the Beats and the jazz music that served as their inspiration. Featuring clips of Jack Kerouac and Steve Allen, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Herbert Huncke, saxophonist Coleman Hawkins, saxophonist Sonny Rollins, organist Jimmy Smith, rare footage of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, Jimmy Giuffre, Miles Davis, Art Farmer - Jim Hall Quartet and aspiring Beat Dennis Hopper. Also featuring actor Gary Kent reminiscing on the L.A. beatnik scene of the late 1950's - early 1960's and Ginsberg's difficulties with the Hell's Angels.

Hello, I love jazz and spoken word, and even more so the experiments the beats did with jazzmen in the 50's. I was fortunate to meet Bob Briggs in Portland and get his sense on this stuff. I would love to see this documentary but cannot find it anywhere. Is there any chance you could help me out ? Maximum respect for something so interesting !
