I've found two old mech games on the SNES thanks to MechaZone... Geez, I searched so much for old mech SNES games, and thought I'd found them all. Well, this one is a tunnel shooter, it's pretty interesting I guess, but it's annoying difficult to tell how close enemies are to you.
You can punch and kick stuff, if you can grasp the sense of distance. You also have two weapons which you choose at the start of the mission, plus bombs. And also, you pick a transformation, either to a jet or to some tanky thing. Personally, I found the tank useless, it doesn't do much more damage, and can't even jump. The jet gives you game-breaking mobility in comparison.
Either way, I lost. The game has cool music, though. That zig-zaggy tunnel really becomes a burden, on the other hand... Well, stage 2 is a straight cave-tunnel all the way, and that's as far as I got.
This game looks like a lot of fun. The graphics are pretty good for a SNES game, and the gameplay is unique and interesting.
Looks a bit difficult though; well-played and cool video!
