@Irrenmann - What has slow production got to do with this clip? We don't have the LA Law clip so it's hear say at the moment and this just highlights how society does not accept racist comments anymore. I'm sure the LA Law episode was also pointing this fact out through the use of a Tourrete sufferer. The world has changed and so have we. Get with the program. ;)

This particular video has been circulating for more than twenty years on the tape traders market and was most likely taken from footage that was shot between takes while they were waiting for something to be reset or for a proper take to be called.

I'm sure that if you watched the outtakes from any other sitcom from this era you'd hear some pretty shocking language coming from people you wouldn't expect it to come from.

@Hammerfall794 if you read the comments you'll see one of the first was from one of the production team explaining the clip to be a response to an LA Law episode the day before. My opinion is that no matter how old it is or what others were doing is not an excuse. It just means we're progressing as people and don't accept it now. Doesn't make it right because of what was acceptable in the past. ;)

I'm sure all of the takes are just fooling around but it is still shocking to hear now. Times and jokes change over time and what was acceptable is not anymore. You know it 'd stir feelings one way or another but I do see it for what it is. Out Takes.

I will make one agreeable claim though, racism like this started truly getting fueled again when blacks started using the word to define themselves again, which in turn made it possible for whites to assume they could undermine the respect of the black community as a whole by making stuff like the family guy episodes, this crap above, and so forth. it started with us saying it, then white entertainers getting some slack, an inch, and taking a mile and now we have blatant racism all over again
