@yacoub80 sounds good, but then explain what i posted?

messed up again :-) i mean be easier to start out with the indicative approach then turn on the imperative approach......
-
ps i mean after you have people listening then you "turn on the indicative approach"

?Q Paul was constantly being persecuted, so would it not then be easier to preach "starting" out with the "imperative" approach, then when you have people listening and not being hostile, then you can "turn on the imperative" approach?.....was he not being beaten mocked and everything else before he even started writing what is in the bible? seriously imagine anyone "today" going into a Jewish church and starting out with "behave this way', they would assault you and kick you out the back door
-
?Q: so when the indicative turns into the imperative "works", does this mean "behavior" changes? like not persecuting those who disagree with you?

Fantastic message, thank you

So what is discussed in the video and described in Eph 1&2 has to do with believers. It's written to those who already believe.
The gospel call itself is sort of both indic & imper, or perhaps a string of the two, in that it is: "God has done something [salvation thru Christ]. In response, in order to be saved, repent and believe! If you have repented & are believing, it will be evident, because you will be living this way." Indic, Imper, Indic, Imper. Yes/No?

@SalvationByGraceOrg Thank you!!
I have a question; Is Romans 10:9-10 an indicative statement? It seems to used a lot with evangelists when Matthew 7:21 says otherwise. What are your thoughts?

@MustardSeedish - I would say that Romans 10:9-10 is a conditional statement -- "If this / then that." It's not a directive or a command. Meanwhile, Matthew 7:21 is in a completely different context, discussing a completely different circumstance. I would not relate those passages to one another.

Are you being sponsored by Snapple™?

@unclepenn1 & MustardSeedish -- I didn't give the bottle of Snapple any thought until I saw it on YouTube and realized that it looked like purposeful product placement. But no. I'm not sponsored. I just like Snapple and was drinking from that bottle as I was preparing to shoot the video. Maybe they'll like the free advertising. :-)
