  • Heres a totaly differant style of female guitar player, from Japan, who moves me emotionaly. She has fire and puts alot of guy guitar players to shame. It wont be everyones cup of tea but hopefully a few people out there will appreciate this young womans talent. /watch?v=UbVV_W5l-fE&feature=related

  • Of cource my statements, refer to music, without lyrics. Lyrics are the obvious aspect of music, where intellectualisation may occur, and not be inhibitory

  • @gfmgma It doesnt have to make sense to you. Music isnt about making sense but having a personal experiance creating and/or listening to it. If you dont have a personal experiance or dont relate to it, thats totaly kosher. I support your right to not like something, but that doesnt mean it sucks to others, and we need to respect that each of us has a unique interaction with art and music thats just as valid as everyone elses.

  • @EloquentSound In my opinion thats not a fair statement to make. Just because someone doesnt relate to the same thing as you, doesnt invalidate their choise of flavor or mean they dont 'get' music. Music is personal and subjective. Just because someone has a differant subjective experiance than yours doesnt mean they lack your 'getting' music. I get your defending what you hold dear, but others are just as passionate about what they hold dear. We need to respect each others treasures of heart

  • In my opinion, no music is about 'thinking'. In fact, if you are 'thinking' while playing your instrument, 'thoughts' actualy get in the way of the spontanious creative process, which 'flows' from the other side. Its our job as musicians to channel music. To be its vessel. Cognition actualy inhibits that process

  • @EloquentSound Yeah okay buddy you're obsessed with "Syrupy melodies and katy perry" here you're messaging everyone on this page about it especially when our comments had nothing to do with either of those, chill out before you have an aneurism or something.....

  • @EloquentSound Alright, but I don't get what that has to do with my comment at all, especially when it was 10 months ago and to someone else entirely....

  • @Taud if people want syrupy melodies and sing-songy choruses they can just listen to Katy Perry. This is music for people who like to think when listening and enjoy having their sensibilities challenged.

  • @cast390 Which is why the song is only 3 minutes. Think about it.

  • @gfmgma dude, this is avant garde. I'm a fan of Andy, Don Ross, Hedges, etc. etc. etc., but if you can't see the beauty in this you don't really "get" music. Not everything is supposed to have a syrupy melody. It would get stale. Kudos to her for switching it up.
