The Equine Therapy Center is a 501c3 non-profit foundation dedicated to serving the at risk youth of Oklahoma using Gods beautiful creation, the horse.
Founded in 2002 in Edmond, OK.
Prim Cockrell is the founder and director of ETC. She founded ETC after she answered Gods call to use her love and knowledge of horses to eternally impact the lives of children. Prim has trained amateurs and youth for the last 30 years and is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association Professional Horsemen and holds a level 1 certification in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy through Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. She is a biblical encourager and is currently serving as a teacher for 3 year old children at her church.
Special Guest Speaker at Banquet - Stephan Moore - Exec. Director - Shiloh Camp. Camp Shiloh partners with the Equine Therapy Center during the summer camp program. Ms. Prim brings horses to Shiloh and ministers to the kids during the camp program.
Mr. Doug Sauter of the Express Clydesdale Ranch and former coach of the OKC Blazers Hockey team donated a pony to the ETC auction. Mr. Sauter is a big supporter of this program on an ongoing basis.
