One correction here, Houston Texas is rated as one of the worst speed traps in the United States of America. If you think L.A. is bad, you should see the cops here annually parked out at natural choke points all around the city handing out hundreds of tickets. They even watch the entrances to schools as kids are leaving or being picked up... mean while rapes and murders are happening across the city. Don't even get me started on the little towns bordering Houston.

The issue isn't the police. The issue is the government and their increasing regulations that have been accelerating since... oh 1820. The police force is simply the arm that keeps the order on behalf of the citizen BUT according to the government. The wickedness of the police is a direct reflection of the wickedness in Washington. The police are overworked and paranoid because Washington finds it necessary to pursue the "War on Drugs", and therefore the police become the villains.

Fucking government enforces every law with the threat of violence-think about it. And if the threat is ignored, they will throw your ass in a dungeon. If you choose to protect yourself from such treatment, they will kill you. The government is not some benefactor, it's a noose.
