@arkvinin You might be happy to know my family were always the type to carry out trash and never left anything but footsteps behind. I was mad at the way it looked back in the day, like teens were partying in there and busting bottles everywhere.. Its a lot cleaner now.
Anyway, I wont go back out there just so you know... I really had no idea that was private land.

@arkvinin I guess thats easy to miss from the park side of it. I did notice signs driving past on the road the other day that it said no trespass. The time above my stepbrother and I were going from memory and came from the park side through the dog run and didnt see a sign. That was the first time in 35 years I had been there, which used to be open BLM all the way from my parents place on Eagle Rd so we would walk throgh fields, Buckingham was not even there yet:-) Apologies if that is yours..

@guitarplayer4real Horse Cave is on private property. Don't trespass. Ask permission from the land owner. You may find them helpful if approached in the right manner.

Its a bit hard to see until you're right on top of it but its a nice big clearing and opening. Follow it thru and you'll find the other opening. I think there's 3 sections, none are huge but its still a cool place to see. Its only really dark in the center plus there might be a couple of other spots you'll need a flashlight.. Otherwise its a real easy trek, nothing really dangerous:-) Have fun!!

Hey Skyler, Yep its next to BigSky park. Drive all the way to the back lot of BigSky, its the furthest back you can get by car. Then if you look east, to the right side of the park there is that worn down dog run area, its enclosed, But there's a gate at the back of it, walk through that and then you're out of the park into the open, go right a real short walk, just a couple minutes.
Sorry for the triple post. Good to know you try to leave no trace. A lot of the landowners are upset with trespassers and threaten to fill in caves because of it. That's how we lose them. Public relations is a must!

I was just out there last weekend, many of the caves in the Arnold system are closed right now. I wanted to go check out Wind cave but geologists were there and signs everywhere that it was closed year around. Tx for the vid...

@guitarplayer4real yeah the caves are cool for real! Ive been into some of the other caves, but there all closed down now. Its a shame took me awhile to find all of them.

I think we used to call it Skeleton or Horse Cave, you can get to it from BigSky Park by walking out through the enclosed dog run area (East) thats all beat up, through the gate and a really short walk to the right. Its 2 large holes in the ground 100 or 200 yards apart but are connected. We used to walk back when we were kids (late 70's) from my house on Eagle rd but now its all houses, school, fire dept. and all of that plus the park. But the cave is still wide open and easy to find.
