god damn, i can't believe that was the first thing I said, you are very correct they are not. Sorry, I have been working on a new interactive teaching platform to teach programming and I haven't looked at these in forever. But yes they are not at all the same. classes can define an object or they can define static library methods and variables.

or they can do both. I added an annotation to the video as a quick fix

um i can't get the object example thing to open with j-edit...
it just comes up with some error message
