i love the blend tec. it pulls things down so is especially good for smoothies, sauces and more liquidy things. for the money it is a more powerful blender. ie. 3 hp to 2 hp vitamix. blendtec does not have a plunger, but is designed to pull things down into the base. if you make a larger batch of cashew cream it will pull it down into the base. she mentioned she probably should have added more water. i make soups in the blend tec and all sorts of sauces and dessert things pulverizes seeds well.

@WhiteGlitterTV BPA (bisphenol-a) is widely used in the making of the hard, clear and nearly unbreakable plastic, called polycarbonate. Studies and tests show that trace amounts of BPA are leaching from polycarbonate containers into foods and liquids. These chemicals are highly toxic, and should be avoided. Personally, I prefer the Blendtec blender because of it's size (will fit under your kitchen cupboards). Also, the pitcher is much larger, and WAY easier to clean. Not to mention, more power!

@raysofgreys Whuts a BPA container ? Im trying to decide whether to buy a Blendtech or Vitamix and now im confused as to why he wus making fun of the blendtech... he did mention its more sophisticated than the vitamix with the functions... so any reason why he wud kinda be saying not to buy the blendtech?

Bisphenol A, a type of plastic proven to leech into the contents it holds and it has a negative influence on the endocrine system.
Those Nalgene bottles that where really hard and "unbreakable" were made of BPA. Here in Canada they were pulled off the shelves because our health association isn't as corupt as it is in the U.S. and probably didn't get bribed to declare it as "safe".
