But in order to craft a policy that works, it helps to hear the voices of the immigrants themselves: why they're here, the challenges they face, and their views on reform proposals. Our new survey, A Place to Call Home: What Immigrants Say Now About Life In America, finds majorities saying they adapted quickly to life in the U.S., and, made the right choice in coming to this country.

reality check we can't afford a deport of everyone thats illegal. Sounds great though, but unfortuantely most likely not going to happen. Instead tax illegals as much as possible, and refuse welfare and food stamps. (How else are they going to get united? in America we watch after are own. you don't need welfare or even food stamps to live here even if you don't have work and have kids. Just knock on your neighbors door its suprising how many good Americans are out there.)

there not all illegal, but since you wanted to bring it up...lets discuss that to. immigrants well are immigrants speaking in realistic terms just about everyone has immigrated somewhere or another. the fact in America is that there is so many who are not legal, and that hurts our system. hot headed welcome to America we call it passion though. it is a staggering percentage of how many people are "ill-legal" go to California so time it's amazing. it truely makes Americans upset.

there is no need to define "illegal" unless you don't understand english. illegal is a crime that is the end of that sentence. it isn't American, and it sure as hell isn't accpeted even in gods biblical law. "follow the law of your government" why the hell would any American accept someone who doesn't play by any book at all? surely theyd destroy the nation. We should make a book that allows them to thrive as well as her?

thats a good fairy tale, but in reality our ancetors if your an Americans faced a lot of challenges comeing here. if illegals want to come here they have to be willing to accept the fact that they well be united. That it's not going to be an easy way out, but its going to be a battle to be accepted. that they well have to build inorder to stay here, and that America is still a work in progress. they would have to give into her full hearted.
