  • Hiya Musicman - what nice accurate playing, but what the hell is that bass, and how'd ya get that awesome tone ? What bass settings and what amp etc ? Lay it on me pal ! :-)

  • Thanks lixnix. It's a 'Riverhead' made by a company called Headway. I bought it about 20 years ago. I believe the model is RPB-1000. I've never found another bass that sounded like it, so I've kept it. It records great, and cuts through live like nothing else. Plus it looks cool.

The amp is a GK-800, cabinet; GK duel 12's. From what I understand, the bass is somewhat sought after these days. I'll never sell. It has a lot of sentimental value. Toured most of the country with it many years ago.

  • Good feeling, I like how low strings "bark"!

    Is this bass shortscale?

  • Thanks.

    No, it's not shortscale.
