@itsNards I flew a UH-34 initially and later a CH-46D, affectionately known as a phrog, in the Marine Corps in Vietnam. We usually referred to ourselves as phrog drivers, so I guess we were all just dumb asses. Never knew it at the time so thanks for clearing it up to me. A pilot claaing himself (or now, herself) a 'driver' is pretty common, so don't put down someone who uses the expression. 1LT USMC "phrog driver", HMM-263. Marble Mountain / Danang RVN 1970 -71

@hardcorelifeforus000 Just remember that all those helos above you are piloted by guys who are also qualified infantry officers. That's the way the Corps operates. Any officer, no matter what he does has to be able to lead the guys in the field...so you know they are one with you and they'll look out for you. Semper Fi and all the best in the Corps. An old USMC vet...CH-46 pilot in Vietnam. I'd love to fly one again!
