Wow! Post-Kath Chicago doesn't get any better than this. Champlin is superb complemented perfectly by Cetera's backup vocal. Great example too of Cetera's under-appreciated bass chops too. Pinnick is an incredile chops guitarist and of course, it's all anchored by Seraphine rockin' the drums to the hilt. "Ballad band" my ass.

Great guitar work by Chris Pinnick. Another monster IMHO.

This is undoubtedly the best live performance recording I've heard from 16. Champlin was at his best on 16 & 17.( Post-Cetera he started over-singing and towards the end sounded much like a cat in heat.)

aaaaaaattttttttttttttt...!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I love this Album so much! it's a great blend of their old sound and their emerging new sound.

GREAT! Peter on Bass! Chicago was back!

@tdelamont Well said! 16 was superb. But Fosterized is a double -edged thing. I have a feeling 16 was made with the best material, 17 was "trying to reproduce" a hit album. They had lower expectations doing 16, which was why it sounds less plastic.

Saw Chicago live for the first time on this tour. I recall them sounding great. I would have been 14, and already a huge fan on account of my folks old vinyl collection. They were just starting their big comeback and played at the relatively small Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, my hometown. Of course, next time around "17" had busted wide open and they were playing huge venues. I still think "16" crushes "17", as they weren't as "Fosterized". Great rare live find. Thanks for posting.

Michael Sombello looks like Chicago, Peter Cetera, and the Beatles from the Sixties,
I guess so!

Wow! I've never heard a live version of this song before. I really wish that Chicago would do a tour where they'd scrap the standard setlist and play some rarities like this!
