Purtenance was a Finnish Death Metal band found in Nokia in 1990 (originally with the name "Purtenance Avulsion"). The band recorded one independent and self-titled demo in 1991 with the name "Purtenance Avulsion". At the same year, they got signed to the Spanish Drowned records through which they released "Crown Waits the Immortal" EP '91. The next year band released their first ,and sadly, last full-length "Member of Immortal Damnation"'92. Soon after releasing their full-length, band broke up.

This is from their only full-length "Member of Immortal Damnation" of 1992.

Lyrics:

Mind that rises from ash
Thoughts about death
They shatter into air and
Leave you suffering

Sin is the power that
Keeps you alive and
Controls you like Master

Vanishing flame inside you
Corrodes memories about good times
Now is only omens from emptiness
And pictures of slavery

Chaos is everywhere
Where ever you look
Stench that pours from your soul
Is almost touchable mass

Reality isn't disappeared
You only can't see it...

  • @MindFuckingGrind Except there's no such thing as "the underground" anymore. The underground died out along time ago with the birth of the internet and mp3 filesharing programs.

People pay more attention to YouTube than they do to the television or radio. If you still think there's an underground that's remarkably funny.

  • @Otp95 That or you could just buy the reissue of this album for $10.

  • funny that someone said that selling a cd for $130 was not something to be proud of, ever wonder why a lot of death metal bands make so many variants of an lp or cd???? thats why bro, i know because ive been in plenty of death bands, its one of the only ways to make money in this style of music, because if you have 5 different colored lps, the collectors buy and want them all!! think before you talk! i have sold some cds for up to $500 or more, nothing wrong with that, its the buyers decision.

  • buen tema

  • Scratch that, i just downloaded all the mp3s for this album for roughly 9 bucks. it was added to amazon two days ago.

  • Actually i meant 99 cents for each song

  • @MindFuckingGrind to make that even more fucked up, you can get the downloads to this whole album for 99 cents on amazon right now.

  • @MindFuckingGrind

I agree, fuck record dicks that sell other peoples recordings for high prices, its not like they make any money of it.

  • too awesome to be true \m/
