I made this video for an english project. The reason for the time change was to show how both my mom & I enjoyed playing the piano at age 16. It is a classical guitar piece by Stanley Myers which appears in The Deer Hunter.

  • What made you choose F major over E? Interesting.

I think you make it too concertoesque though. Sorry. The piece is more delicate than this. What modulations are you using in the middle and WHY?

  • @Mrphilharmonic, You're right, I should've played the piece a little more softly and not as fast... I guess I get into the music so much that I forget to slow down. Why the modulations? Because that is what was on the piano sheet music when I learned it. Thanks for the comment though, either way I enjoyed playing the piece.

  • This looks scarily similar to my house, even the lamp, and where the curtains are, and where the piano is, and the cloth on the piano, even the type of curtain is the same lol.

  • that does actually sound kind of creepy... haha

  • I like it, nice video. 5*

  • thank you! good job in your piano videos as well & keep on playing =)

  • Thanks for your gracious response. I enjoyed listening to your version. Maybe you might do it again?

You obviously have talent. I like players that get 'carried away' and are passionate, but within the realms of what they playing.

I guess there loads of different 'versions' of Cavatina. Personally I love the John Williams (guitar) version. Enjoy!

  • Everything about you is beautiful....

  • the video editing... i was waiting for a scary ghost image to appear

  • Japanese Enka.

  • I also think most Cavatina versions on Youtube are played too fast, losing its emotion. That's a talent as well, knowing how to play a piece and having the patience for it. Sorry but you must follow the simplicity of the piece... All in all nice video!

  • Complimenti per il video. Anche per come suoni.

  • Complimenti per il video molto originale.

    Andrea

  • love this piece of music!!
