Not really. If you're talented enough it could be the complete opposite. In fact it was people like Mozart and Beethoven that used the same sounds because they were limited to just instruments. OK on the face of it EDM producers use same sounds because A: Its a popular sound atm, and B: They're not creative enough to make another sound. People don't understand the capabilities of synthesizers.
