TAS WR. I am extremely satisfied with this run (it beats the old record by nearly 5 seconds). It was a huge pain to get 32:xx. I really have no words for all the crap I went through, lol.

3/1/11
SP says: "what was old wr?"
Dennis says: "37:74"
SP says: "i want to get 33 :P"
Dennis says: "your imagination is big :P"

3/2/11
Dennis says: "Upload you the 33"90?"
SP says: "i want to improve first :D"
Dennis says: "improve? fantastic joke :D"

Thanks to DennisBalow for showing me that a homing attack after the first bounce is faster than a bounce alone (which saved about "10), as well as giving me constant motivation to improve/finish the run. He also helped me solve an audio issue. His channel:

  • Nice run. At about 27:60 (00:30 on youtube's timer), is it really faster to do a homing attack than to just bounceball onto the rail? I would be saying it more as a criticism if this game hadn't already proven me wrong like 30 times yesterday.

  • @mapler90210

The rail is not directly under the box.

  • i wasn't aware that collecting 100 rings would end the level :o

  • @mapler90210 I compared both, timing from the moment the counter goes up by 20 until sonic is right below the first big ring in the rail path.

    Dennis takes 3.00 sec(26.45 to 29.45 with hundredths going from 2 -> 5 -> 9), SP takes 3.03(22.64 to 25.67 with hundredths going from 0 -> 4 -> 7).

They're very close, with an advantage to Dennis' one since a better timed Homing Attack can make it faster than in his video(I can be wrong since both videos run at 30 fps and Dennis' video is blurred).

  • It's so awesome, it's scary.

  • Amazing job o.O

  • I wish I could get dolphin to TAS, but I just can't seem to figure it out. If only there were a tutorial *cough cough*.

  • I'll be looking forward to more SA2B TASES from you. :-)

  • great work SP
