My 2 year old daughter loves this!! She can't get enough of "funny frog" in Milton Keynes. We probably see it 3 times during the day when we shop in MK.
This is a mechanical, animated clock, that has a general mechanical animation, and also a musical accompanied animation every half an hour.
The general animation is a pretty good perpetual animation of an energised golden ball, but they main event is every half an hour, when the music kicks in, and the frog "wakes up".
The frog's eyes light up, it spind back and forth, and opens its mouth. After a short while a lilpad (although it looks more like a fan), opens behind the frog.
When the lilpad is nearly completely opened, the music begins to build, and when the lilipad is complete, the frog opens its mouth and blows forth lots and lots of bubbles.
The kids love this part. There's always a gathering of kids every half an hour to witness the "Frog Clock" musical / bubble spectacle. The kids love to try and catch the bubbles, with parents, including myself lifting our kids higher and higher to catch them.
When not
Whenever we go shopping in Milton Keynes, there
It is a lovely piece of public art but ask your child how the ball gets back to the other side ;o) Tell us who works it out first you or your child. !
