@contactafc10 No one is a Grand slam winner..and the other should have been a multiple Grand Slam winner. Federer and Safin really appreciated Rios game...but Rios has all the talent in the world, some say more then Roger..but he never had any heart or the work ethic. Shame such a joy to watch when in form!!

de culto este partido, si mal no recuerdo, el chino lo perdio en 3 sets. la unica vez que rios le pudo ganar a safin fue en Stuttgart 2001. En la ronda siguiente perderia con sampras en un partidazo.

Canas must have played some real good tennis in the quarters or Marat was having a real off-day.

@davd1986 Canas played terrific tennis that week, one of the most impressive Masters Series vitories of all time. Every player he beat that week had been ranked in the top 10 at one point and 4 had won slams. Safin didn't play too well in this match and against him, he had an embarrassing summer hard court swing. A wasted year.
