  • Does it switch between the cylinders from time to time?

I mean the first day cyl. 1,3,5 and next day 2,4,6 so that all cylinders are worn equally?

  • im not really for sure on that

  • how do you make it do that ???my 02 has never dun that and its cold in ny .thanks

  • you can take it to a dealership and have them re-flash the ecm. or buy a smarty

  • That's hilarious! It sounds like my dad's little Kubota Diesel tractor!

  • The 3-cly high idle creates more resistance/heat on the engine to warm it up quicker by working 3 cylinders harder, in extreme cold-start situations.

  • @KB3MMX Exacttly what i was thinking sounds like little 15horse kubota

  • I get thats its making the rpms higher which is faster warm up buy why does it not just make all 6 run at a higer rpm on cold start ups?

  • @MonsterMX82 Upside down coffee can!

  • @pollepost I doubt the pistons actually stop moving as they are all connected to the camshaft correct? I think it just quits feeding fuel to 3 cylinders much like the Hemi does w/ that MDS system.

  • @MonsterMX82 here in louisiana during the rainy season (what yankees call "winter" lol) i just tapped an threaded a hole in the horizontal pipe under the cab so when water does get it i just unscrew it, out flows 99% of the water, screw it back in and off i go

  • @C11376 The ECM is a Coumputer on the truck (Engine Control Modual) and the smarty is a tuner which programs the trucks's coumputers to make more power and torque and many other things that we could get in to if you got any more questions feel free to ask

  • @brianchris4 the new trucks idle to like 1000rpm's and lope

  • how do you keep water and snow from getting in the stack?

  • dude calm down im only 13
