I've always really liked Heather's voice; and so when I heard that she'd transitioned a few years ago, I was sort of bummed about it, thinking I'd really miss that voice. But I was listening really closely to a song by Alexander recently; and I realized that I still recognized it, though it was a bit deeper than before! Thus, I figure the original voice hasn't really gone away; it's just adapted itself to a somewhat new identity...:)
@SilvaraDragontear I am also a bit bummed that i probably never will get a chance to see him perform live! So thanks to all who put out videos of his performances, specially ones that are of good quality like this one.
I must say I loved Heathers music and if making herself in to a male and saying that we should just look at her male self as her heir then I'll just say more power to her/him i am just glad he keept on with his music after the change of gender.
@Kemmetmau That's nothing. Someone who'd preferred Heather's voice phrased it as "this world will miss her". Now, I knew for a fact thanks to the writer who put me onto her that she was alive as of 2007, so yeah, I was freaked the hell out that she'd died within the last three years.
I do wish I could find a 30-second sample of Alex's CD work, though. I'm definitely buying Life's Flame the instant I get a job, but I like to know what I'm getting into when I buy music.
For a while I was confused and thought Heather actually had just up and stopped singing, which bothered me not only because I liked her music but because she seemed like the sort of person who would stop breathing if she stopped singing. Finally working out what actually happened was a relief, and I look forward to more of Alex's music!
I gotta say I've Heard both Heathers version of Water In The Hold and Alex's.. and I love them BOTH I think the only thing that could top one or the other.. is the Digital blending of them to make an Alex and Heather Duet of Water in the Hold
I look on AJA as Heather's twin brother honestly. She's still there in him and I will always love them both as friends and entertainers. It's what they both would want honestly.
We had been waiting for her next release after Everafter.
I was in mourning for the lady we had met at Conifur. Since then so much of Alec has been released, solo and with TP. I am so glad he is happy and love his work.
A howl of mourning for her.. but a deep howl of welcome for him. Blessed Be the Bard.
"...and the chute opens up and you stop!"
"DON'T STOP!"
That made me laugh. xp

I'm laughing imagining an audience full of fursuits rocking out to this.

I only heard the story in June.
