This is an experiment using a gas discharge tube in place of traditional spark gap for more efficient operation.
15 x 60watt 120 volt lamps shown in this test.

    Yes, Xenon for now. I believe Krypton may work a bit better. It has been self triggering at 4kv. At first it was harder to light, now it is changing a bit and starts very easily.
