Obama plans to raise a 1,000,000 (one million) strong civilian force, comprised of young men and women between the ages of 18-25.


Every time you get involved with the Federal Government it is a contract..you trade off your constitutional rights.

The beginning of the United States military lies in civilian frontiersmen, armed for hunting and basic survival in the wilderness. These were organized into local militias for small military operations, mostly against tribes but also to resist possible raids by the small military forces of neighboring European colonies.

Beginning in 1689, the colonies also frequently became involved in a series of wars between Great Britain and France for control of North America, the most important of which were Queen Anne's War, in which the British annexed French Acadia, and the final French and Indian War (17541763). This final war was to give thousands of colonists, including George Washington, military experience which they put to use during the American Revolution.Ongoing political tensions between Great Britain and thirteen colonies became a crisis in 1774 when the British placed the province of Massachusetts under martial law.

While shooting began at Lexington and Concord in 1775, the Continental Congress appointed George Washington as commander-in-chief of the newly created Continental Army, which was augmented throughout the war by colonial militia. General Washington was not the greatest battlefield tactician, but his overall strategy proved to be sound: keep the army intact, wear down British resolve, and avoid decisive battles except to exploit enemy mistakes.

I'm sorry but I proudly serve my country. And I do believe that everyone should have this experiance, I hate hearing "home of the free, because of the brave". to me thats just saying "hey I'm too lazy to get off my but and do something about it, but thanks guys"

I replied to your comment a couple of weeks ago in a pm, explaining that this video is in no way intended to degrade the military, nor is it a campaign to dissuade volunteers from joining their choice of branch of the armed forces.

The video was posted as a possible means of avoiding Obama's doctrine of mandatory service for all men and women, 18-25 yrs. old, which I happen to be very much against.

Hope that helps to clear up any misunderstandings.

I'm happy to share it, I don't like Obama's plan to force our youth into military service.

When he drafts the children & grandchildren of all the members of Congress, then I may have a 2nd look.

Some Americans are smart enough to realize they dont have a dog in your fight and its not necessarily about being lazy - its just none of their business. You might as well expect Germans, Chinese or South Africans to care that you serve YOUR country. You cant serve two masters: God in Heaven & the G.O.D. United States. I pick the God of Heaven God willing. America isnt God fearing & isnt a Xtian nation + Xtianity here is corrupt. Have fun.

i would be happy to serve my continent when some entity actually steps on american soil. obviously propaganda has gotten to to many. the whole premise should be but not is to not fight over wars anyway. in a time of peace should i serve? everyone will serve their continent, that's when the U.S. will be raging war on it's own over some stupid propaganda instigated by it's own so called government. humankind is surely doomed.

A person in my office yesterday obtained her citizen ship and she was was told that they hoped she would step forward and volunteer for service in the country. as a civilian. That got me thinking about this bill. So I think we should all go read the bill and form our own opinion as to what it says. If this bill is what I am hearing then it will be very nasty for those who do not want to join any type of para military unit. This is a call to be in a civilian force outside the military.

I think there is some confusion in these comments below. I just downloaded the 145 page bill and I will examine it and come back later. We all should do that and get our own interpretation instaead relying on others. What these videos do is get you interested enough to do your own investigation.

With that said, What I am hearing is this bill has nothing to do with volunterring for the military. I served in the military and I retired after 20 years of service.
