I am not mad about the government trying to put a band aid on the "boo boo" but I do care that they arent sending much money to the poor people. I am only getting $300 and I work my butt off

I think we all want to be part of the solution but we are not the problem. The problem is our horrible congress that has done a terrible job in leading this country. If the american people do not stand up and hold our so called leaders accountable they will continue to run this country and us further into the ground.

It may help for a short time. People will get out and go fishing or camping instead of staying home. But even myself, it has helped to only catch up because I have been falling behind in bills due to gas costs and things slowing down at work the past 6 weeks.

Although I appreciate the help, this is only to make it look as if action was taken which means no other solution is on the way.

Brother we are in a Recession and I believe will end up in Depression by the end of 2008. Probably around November 2008 to January 2009. That's when we will be in Depression. The only way I foresee it happening sooner is if we have a nuclear attack (randomly. yeah right) here in America. It's all here brothers and sisters. Our country is going down because we were too blind to see what the Government was doing! It's over!

People are going to take that joke of a check and pay off previous debts (or payments of the debts). My sister did that in 2001 when she got her $800 check. We are in a recession and this stimulus is nothing more than inflation. You just cannot mail everyone cash in a mailbox and think problems go away. Great video.

Everything said here has come to pass. Arnall and the banks that packaged his loans full of hidden points (20) knew they would default. The FBI reported in 2004 that Arnall et al were a threat to the economy. AG's from 50 stated wanted Cheney Bush to regulate the industry in 2003. Cheney's answer? Invoked obscure laws that precluded all state laws that could be used against the Roland Arnall's & scum like him. The economy should have collapsed sooner than 2008. Look at the political timing.

No offense,But our government is not in the business of motivating peoples ass out of bed to get to work or school.Personal sacrifice is what it's about.The politics of the day do not run this economy.WE run this economy.Shut the TV off and figure out how your going to capitalize on tomorrows opportunities.You may stumble, you may fall, you may very well succeed if you don't give up.That's what built this country.We screwed up the housing market and WE are to blame.So change it!
