  • As a natural bodybuilder for over 25 years, everybody in our community knows this. all the rest of people follow the mainstream and thats why their fat and unhealthy.

  • @ConcreteRiver Ummmmmmm... You didn't see his pyramid? He recommends fruit and vegetables, by volume, over all other foods. He doesn't recommend 'not drinking water', but rather to trust the thirst instinct rather than drink excessive amounts when you're not thirsty. Eliminate wholegrains- yeeep: hands down the most uneconomical way to try to get nutrition into you. And saturated fat/cholesterol: do some homework on their health benefits (and eat some butter for good measure).

  • She said it best. A diet for couch potatoes.

  • researching the work of a doctor who studied endocrinology and cellular metobolism, it was found out the body iniates a stress response when protein is consumed without a source of carbs so this stress response drives insulin up...

  • the low carb high fat diet is becoming really popular in scandinavia. search in youtube " The Food Revolution- AHS 2011". extension of what Mark is talking about.

  • @autofill67

I never really thought about food until I started bodybuilding. Later when I switched to triathlon the knowledge that I brought with me was invaluable. There is no substitute for spending time studying the effects of nutrients on the body while trying to achieve a goal.

Everyone should research and try bodybuilding for six months, just for the experience. No need to go heavy, just build a little muscle and learn about the nutrition

  • I started a very similar diet a month ago. I already lost eleven pounds while eating whenever I was hungry, and one thing I really noticed was the my digestion improved a lot! I love eating new things like the fish and fancy veggies, and there are really no strange chemicals or preservatives in what I eat now. Although I did have some sweet pancakes as a treat. This really makes sense to my body. Eating like this promotes a sense of well being, not deprivation.

  • i dont see the difference between this and the paleo diet.....its the same idea

  • Number one rule: if you're not feeling good, something is wrong with your diet.

  • NEEDS MORE THAN 5 MINUTES!!!

  • @lionelmtb88 You are no understanding of what is healthy and what is not. Futher you have no understanding of what is ethical and what is not. Goodbye.

  • @LuckynumberSlevin11 I think Mr Atkins is one of the biggest con artists on the planet actually. You assume I give a crap about Mr Atkins but actually I don't and I think anyone that tries the Atkins Diet has what they deserve coming to them. But yes, I will keep eating my "greasy" meat, eggs (don't do cheese) and fish, as well as plenty of Organic Vegatables and Fruit. What qualifies you to think you know more then me? What experience do you have with sports nutrition?
