Carolla keeps repeating "diversity," but never mentions a (perhaps) better point: a nation whose people do not assimilate, a nation that is not unified by a common culture and a common language, that doesn't defend its borders, is a nation whose days are numbered.

In the mid 1800's we had a Nativist movement in this country. This was before the Mexican-American war I believe and America consisted of states east of the Mississippi. The Nativists, with their own political party and candidates, formed as a response to large numbers of Irish and Italian Catholics immigrating to America who they feared. You can read about them online. They sound just like this creep who wouldn't even be here if they got their way.

When the USA's rich greedy bastards exported its manufacturing base overseas it eliminated one of the great forces for assimilation the USA ever had, the factory floor. In the past you had Americans of all origins and languages intermixed on the factory floor so they were forced to speak a common language to communicate and they had to speak English to do the joint work. When we lost manufacturing we lost the engine of assimilation. No factory jobs means no reason to leave the ghettos, etc.

For xample New Mexico has only been a state for 100 yrs thats it. Spanish,Moors(Moroccan decent) Tlaxcalan(Noble tribe who defeated Aztec) came to N.M territory and settled in late 1500s theu mixed with the local pueblo,navajo and apache ect.coexisted for Centurys and it has been the whites who poor into our lands over the last 100 YRS we were fucking eachother before your ancestor ever got his mayflower ticket bitch

Top comment made an excellent point, culture is a huge element of what it means to belong or assimilate into any region. If there isnt that cohesion it will lead to prejudice and a segregated society.
