President Obama has called for people with a better approach to health care reform to contact him. Doctors Carol Paris and Margaret Flowers have tried to take him up on this, but they lead a doctors organization that calls for single payer, in other words free medical care paid out of taxes. Obama once supported this but no longer. The President will meet with Big Pharma, the health insurance industry and the Republicans, but he wont even given Democrats in Congress who favor single payer the time of day.

We continue with coverage of efforts to end the siege of Gaza. In January in New York City there was an event called Beyond the Gaza Freedom March with people who had gone to Egypt to try to get into Gaza and people who supported them. Well have two of the speakers for you tonight, Fida Quishta and Ali Abunimah.
Fida Qishta is from Gaza and is a filmmaker and videographer. She reported for Englands Guardian newspaper in 2008. He home in Rafah was destroyed by Israel that year along with the homes of many other Palestinians.
Then we have video of an arrest, the arrest of a doctors who were holding a sign outside of a hotel where the President was going to enter. It was a sign the President did not want to see. It said Letting you know, Medicare for all Finally Ill have comment about the decision of a Rhode Island superintnendent to fire every staff member in his high school.
